Joe Aguirre

Aguirre played four seasons in the NFL with the Washington Redskins (1941-45, except 42) and then four years (1946-49) with the Los Angelas Dons of the AAFC as a tight end.  Aguire came north to the CFL in 1950, joining the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.  Aguire led the West in scoring in 1950 with 57 points.  Aguired also had 17 catches for 292 yards.  Aguirre played one more season in 1951 with Winnipeg before moving to Edmonton for 1952.  Aguirre saw his most action as a receiver in 1952 as he had 38 catches for 549 yards.  Aguirre played three more seasons with Saskatchewan from 1953 to 1955.  Aguirre again led the West in scoring in 1954 with 85 points.
