Alliston joined the Bombers in 1956. He missed 1957 and 1958 in military duty in the U.S (though the Bomber all-time roster lists him for those years). He returned to Winnipeg in 1959 and dressed for at least one exibition game according to newspaper accounts, but did not play in any regular season games.
