Tony Bailey

A native of Winnipeg, Tony Bailey played his college ball in the Maritimes at St. Mary's where he was an Atlantic Conference All-Star on the defensive line in 1993.  Bailey was drafted in the first round (fifth overall) by Ottawa in the 1994 CFL College Draft.  Bailey played 12 games for Ottawa in 1994 before being claimed by Hamilton on waivers in October of 1994, but played no games for Hamilton that year as he was on the practice roster.  Bailey played in just 4 games with Hamilton in 1995 and had played another 4 with the Tiger-Cats in 1996 before eing transferred to Montreal on August 22.  Montreal released Bailey on September 12, 1996 and he was signed by BC where he completed the 1996 season.
