Walt Balasiuk

Born in Benito, Manitoba, Walt Balasiuk went East to play his football.  Balasiuk played with the NIagra Falls All-Stars in 1963, and then won the Canadian Senior Football championship with the East York Argos in 1964 before joining the Toronto Argos in 1965.  Balasiuk played 6 seasons for Toronto (1965 to 1970). Balasiuk played 9 games in his rookie season and 1 game in his second year, before becoming full-time in 1967, appearing in all 14 Argo games.  In 1968, Balasiuk was off to a good start, but an injury in August finished his season.  Balasiuk returned to played all 14 games for the Argois in 1969 and 1970.  IN 1971, Balasiuk moved to Montreal where he played all 14 games and had a fumble return for 10 yards.
