Virgil (Bo) Bolinger

Bo Bolinger was a guard out of the University of Oklahoma and was drafted in the 13th round of the 1956 NFL college draft by the Chicago Cardinals.

Bolinger joined the Edmonton Eskismos in 1956 and played two games. Bolinger embarked on a long career in coaching and scouting. After his short stint with Edmonton, Bolinger returned to be a graduate assistant at his ama mater at Oklahoma. In 1957, Bolinger was the head coach at Miami (Oklahoma) High School. From there, Bolinger spent 1958 as the line coachat the University of Denver and then was the defensive coordinatior at Tuls for 1961 and 1962. Bolinger then spent 5 season (1963-67) as the offensive and defensive coordinator at New Mexico. In 1968, Bolinger was the offensive coordinatior at Utah State.

Bolinger returned to the CFL in1969 as the offensive line coach for the Calgary Stampeders and held that position for two seasons. In1971, Bolinger joined the St. Louis / Arizona Cardinals organization where he spent 30 years in various capacities, including head of colleg scouting. Bolinger then moved to the Tennessee Titans as a scout.
