After playing with the Kitchen Waterloo Dutchmen of the ORFU (1953) and the Hamilton Tiger-Cat B team (Intermediate), DeNobile joined the big team in 1956. DeNobile would go on to play 9 seasons fo rthe Tiger-Cats from 1956 to 1964 and a total of 102 games. DeNobile picked a good time to be a Tiger-Cat as Hamilton went to the Grey Cup in seven of his nine seasons. Hamilton won two of thos games, winning in 1957 over Winnipeg and 1963 over BC while losing five times, four to Winipeg (1958, 1959, 1961 and 1962) and once to BC in 1964.
