Jerry Doucette

Jerry Doucette was a Canadian QB and punter who played in the CFL from 1954 to 1961.  Doucette started his career with Toronto after playing one season (1953) with Toronto Balmy Beach of the ORFU.  Doucette played with the Argos for six seasons from 1954 to 1959.  He was normally the backup QB, but he got see a fair amount of action in 1957 with 137 pass attempts and in 1958 with 112 attempts.  Doucette was traded to Calgary prior to the start of the 1960 season, along with Clair Exelby, and Morgan Clark as the Stampeders were trying to improve their Canadian content.  Doucette played just the one year in Calgary, returning to the East to join Montreal in 1961. Jerry Doucette passed away in April, 2001.
