Embray was originally signed as a free agent by Winnipeg in 1994 but was released before playing any games for them. He was signed by the Los Vegas Posse in August of 1994. After the Posse folded, Embray was drafted by Hamilton in the dispersal draft. Embray played for Hamilton in 1995 and was released by them part way through the 1996 season in October.
