Joe Fourquean

Joe Fourquean ranks as one of the top defensive backs in B.C.Lions history, being voted to their "dream team" in 1984, 1994 and 2004. Fourquean played his college football at little known Bluefield State where he is a member of therir Sports Hall of Fame. Fourquean is also a member of the BC Lions Sports Hall of Fame.

Fourquean played his entire nine year career with the Lions (1973-81), winning a West All-Star in 1977. Fouruean recorded 15 career interceptions and 5 career fumble recoveries.

After retring from football, Fourquean worked as a art and science teacher and later was a manager with the U.S. postal service.

Joe Fourquean passed away on November 19, 2013 at the age of 63.
