Oscar Kruger played 12 seasons in the CFL, from 1954 to 1965, all with the Edmonton Eskimos. In terms of team accomplishments, Kruger got his career off to a great start, winning three Grey Cups with the Esks in 1954, 1955 and 1956.  Kruger started to make a contribution to the Eskimo succes even his rookie season where he had two pass interceptions and his 317 yars on punt returns was third best in the West.  In his second season in 1955, Kruger saw the most action of his career offensively with 19 carries and 4 pass receptions, two of those going for touchdowns and the only two of Kruger's long career.  From 1956 to 1958, Kruger has 7 interceptions in each of those three seasons, leading the West in interceptions in 1956 and 1957.  In a rather incredible season in 1956, Kruger also added 7 fumble recoveries.  Kruger got his third West interception title with 6 picks in 1961 and would go on to finish with 46 career interceptions and 18 fumble recoveries.  Kruger won four West All-Sars in 1957, 1958, 1961 and 1962 (there were no CFL All-Stars until 1962). Oscar Kruger passed away on July 4, 2010.
