Ivan MacMillan

MacMi35llan was one of the first of the first generation of speciacist placekickers, though he never really found a team for a long term career.  MacMillan started in 1970 with Ottawa, the first specialist kicker in the East.  MacMillan was displaced out of Ottawa in 1971 by Gerry Organ and he moved on to Toronto.  MacMillan stayed two years in Toronto, sharing the kicking duties with Zenon Andrusyshyn.  MacMillan did the placekicking while Andrusyshyn handled the kickoffs and punting.  As Andrusyshyn took over the placekicking, MacMillan moved on again.  His next stop was BC where he was brought in to take over for Ted Gerela at the end of the 1973. MacMillan's best year was in BC in 1974 when he had 101 points and finished second to Dave Cutler in scoring.  In 1975, MacMillan moved on to Saskatchewan, displaced by John Wintemeyer.  MacMillan got a one game fill-in with Saskatchewan in 1975, but Bob Macoritti was brought in to be the Rider kicker in 1976 and MacMillan's career was over.
