William Miller

Miller played his college football at the pretty much unknown Quachita Baptist, but still earned a free agent tryout with the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL in 1979.  Miller was initially signed by the Calgary Stampeders in 1980 and released before the season started.  The Stampeder's loss was Winnipeg's gain as Miller went on to rush for 1059 yards to win West and CFL All-Stars along with being named the top rookie in the CFL.  Injuries limited Miller to just 10 games and 684 yards in 1981, but he bounced back in 1982 for another thousand yard season and his second West and CFL All-Stars.  After 1982, Miller signed as a free agent with the Cleveland Browns of the NFL then bounced around the USFL with Pittsburgh, Orlando and Tampa Bay.  In 1986, Miller returned to the CFL and played 4 games for the Toronto Argos.
