From the University of Clemson, Dwayne Morgan signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as a free agent for the 1996 season. Morgan was released by Hamilton before the 1997 season and returned to the CFL with Toronto in 1998. Morgan signed as a free agent with the Detroit Lions of the NFL for 1999, but was released and rejoined the Argnonauts to finish the season. A free agent again, Morgan signed with Montreal for 2000. Morgan was traded back to Toronto in September, 2000 for a third round draft pick.
