George Mrkonic

George Mrkonic was an offensive guard / defensive tackle who played three years at Kansas (1951-53) where he was a Big Seven All-Star in 1950 and 1951, and an All-American in 1951.  Mrkonic was drafted in the fourth round of the 1953 NFL draft by the Philadelphis Eagles, and played one season for the Eagles in 1953.  Mrkonic played  one game for the BC Lions in 1956.  George Mrkonic passed away in May, 2011.
