Nagle started his career with Calgary in 1954. Injuries and a case of jaundice limited his production in his rookie season, but Nagle came on strong in 1955, seeing plenty of action on offense (54 carries) and running back kicks. Nagle was third in the West in punt returns in 1955. After three years in Calgary, Nagle moved on to play for BC from 1958 to 1960 and was traded to Winnipeg in August of 1961 for Walt Bilicki. Nagle had been injured in training camp and had not played in the Lions opening game before the trade. Nagle returned to the Lions in 1962 to finish his career. Baz Nagle passed away on April 11, 1997.
