After three years at Western Virginia (1955-57), Joe Nicely was a third round draft pick of the Baltimore Colts in 1958. Nicely joined the Montreal Alouettes in 1958, playing five games for the Alouettes at Guard. Nicely went on to spend time on the practice rosters of the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys. Joe Nicely passed away on September 24, 2010.
