Bruce Perkins

Perkins signed as a free agent with Tampa Bay in the NFL in 1990.  He also had stints with Indianopolis and Cleveland in the NFL before signing with Hamilton in May, 1993.  Perkins had a successful first season in the CFL with 812 yards rushing in 14 games.  In 1994, Perkins was released by Hamilton in August after playing just four games.  Perkins signed with the expansion Memphis Mad Dogs in February of 1995.  With Memphis, Perkins had more success as a receiver out of the backfield (47 catches for 443 yards) than he did as a runner (76 carries for only 271 yards).  After the U.S. based teams folded, Perkins was drafted by Saskatchewan in the thirteenh round of the dispersal draft.  Perkins, however, was released by the Riders in May of 1996, before the season started.
