Mike Philbrick

Mike Philbrick was drafted n the fourth round of the 1990 CFL College Draft by the Ottawa Rough Riders.  Philbrick was hardly an instant success as he played one game with Ottawa in 1990 and was released. Philbrick resigned with Ottawa again in both 1991 and 1992, but was released without playing a single game.  Phildbrick didn't play at all in 1993 and finally signed as a free agent with Hamilton in 1994 where his career took off.  Philbrick would play 8 seasons for Hamilton as a defensive tackle / end from 1994 to 2001 and won three East All-Stars in 1996, 2000 and 2001. Philbrick was nominated by Hamilton as their Outstanding Canadian in 1997 and 2000. Philbrick went to two Grey Cups with Hamilton, losing to Calgary in 1998 and gaining revenge with a victgory over the same Stampeders in 1999.
