Bob Poley

The "Pole Cat" came out of the highly successful Regina Rams Junior football program, signing with the Saskatchewan Roughriders just before the 1978 season.  Poley played seven seasons with the green and white, mainly at center and guard, from 1978-84.  In May, 198, Poley was traded along with tackle Gerry Hornett and fullback Greg Fieger to Calgary for center Willie Thomas, offensive lineman Tim Molle and running back Ken Moore.  Poley played three seasons with the Stampeder(1985-87), winning West and CFL All-Stars at Center in 1986.  In 1987, Poley was named the Outstanding Offensive Lineman in the West and was the runner-up for the CFL AWard.  Calgary released Poley in September of 1988 and he signed back with Roughriders to complete his career that season.
