Joseph Rogers

After being signed by Ottawa on May 30, 1996, Rogers had an outstanding rookie season with 79 catches and 1200+ receiving yards.  For his accomplishments, Rogers was name an Eastern All-Star in 1996 and also the top rookie in the East. Unfortunately for Rogers and his promising carreer, Ottawa fold after the 1996 season and he then bounced around the CFL for the next few years, unable to match his rookie season numbers.  Rogers was drafted in the first round of the dispersal draft (seventh overall) by Calgary where he played six games before being traded to Winnipeg in August of 1997.  Rogers was a free agent in February of of 1998, but resigned with the Bombers only to be released in June, 1998 before the season started.  Edmonton signed Rogers on July 6, 1998 and he played seven games for them before being released a the end of the season in Feburary, 1999.  Rogers signed once more with Winnipeg and completed his career with the Bombers in 1999.
