John Miles Taylor

John Miles Taylor was born in Montreal and played football at Westhill High School.  Taylor attended McGill and with the outbreak of World War II, ended up in the Canadian Navy where he was part of the Navy team based in Montreal that won the Grey Cup in 1944.  In fact, Taylor scored the only Montreal touchdown in that game.  After the war, Taylor joined the Montreal Alouettes for their inaugral season in 1946.  After not playing in 1947, Taylor rejoined the Als in 1948 and played with them until 1951, winning his second Grey Cup with the Als in 1949.  John Miles Taylor passed away on December 26, 2005.
