Randy Trautman

Randy Trautman was a two time Associated Press All-Amerian (1980-81) at Boise State and named the best defensive player in the Big Sky Conference in 181. Trautman is the only player (as of 2014) seleted for the U.S. college football Hall of Fame and is also a member of the Boise State athletic Hall of Fame. Trautman was drafted in the ninth round by the Washington Redskins in 1982.

Following his release by Washington, Trautman signed with Calgary in September of 1982.  Traut5man played only trree games with the Stamps in that season, but recorded three quarterback sacks which was a sign of things to come.  In his first full season in 1983, h recorded 12 sacks and was a Western All-Star.  Trautman picked up his second Western All-Star honour in 1984 with another 11 sacks.  In Trautman's last season in Calgary in 1985, he was limited to just 10 games, but recorded 5 sacks.

Randy Trautman passed away on March 2, 2014 at the age of 53.
