Tyrone Williams was a top notch defensive tackle who played all but one game of his eight year CFL career (2002-2009) with the BC Lions.  Williams was both tough against the run and provided good pressure up the middle from his defensive tackle spot. Coming out of Wyoming, Williams was orignally signed by the Saskatchewan Roughriders in November of 1995, but released in June, 1996 before the season started. From 1997 to 2001, Williams played in the NFL with Philadelphia, Kansas City, Chicago  and Washington.  Williams returned to the CFL in 2002 when he signed with the Lions where he reamained until his release in 2009.  With the Lions, Williams was named a West and CL All-Star at deensive tackle in 2007.  As well, Williams played in two Grey Cup games with the Lions, losing to the Damon Allen led Toronto Argonauts in 2004, before winning the cup in 2006 over Montreal.  Following his release by the Lions in 2009, Williams had a short one game stint with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.  Williams finished his career with 27 quarterback sacks, one interception and five fumble recoveries. Williams also saw use on offence as a tight end in short yardage plays, and has the distinction of catching 100% of his passes for touchdowns.  In his career, Williams caught three passes, scoring touchdowns on all three of them.
