Rick Worman

Worman was drafted by the Jacksonville Bulls of the USFL in the eleventh round of the 1986 draft.  Worman signed as a free agent with Calgary in May of 1986 and while he dressed for all 18 games in his rookie season, did not see any action.  Worman took over as the Stampeder's regular QB in 1987 and threw for over 3000 yards, but completing only slightly over half his passes (50.2%).  Worman was also the starting QB for Calgary in 1988, but was released late in the season (October) after playing 13 games, completing exactly 50% of his passes.  Edmonton signed him as a free agent and he finished the year with them, dresssing in four games.  Worman served as the Esk's backup QB in 1989, but was released in June, 1990, just prior to the start of the season.  Calgary resigned Warman and he played in a backup capacity, completing a career high 55.2% of his 172 pass attempts.  Hamilton claimed Worman on waivers in December of 1990 and then traded him in February of 1991 to Saskatchewan for future consideration.  Worman played one year with the Riders before being released in February, 1992.
