Dick Young

Dick Young was a star football player in high school and then went on to play one year at Alabama and three years at the University of Chatanooga.  Young played fullback on offence and linebacker on defence.  In his senior year in 1954, Young played in the Blue-Grey game and the Senior Bowl while being named a Little All-american and the top athlete at Chatanooga.  Young was initially drafted by the Chicago Cardinals in the 18th round of the 1954 NFL draft, and would go on to play in the NFL for Baltimore in 1955 and then the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Young spent one season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 1960, playing three games.  Dick Young passed away on March 31, 2012.
