Dick Walker

After playing at John Carroll university as a center and linebacker, Dick Walker started his coaching career in 1957 at the high school leve in Ohio. Wlaker moving on to the college ranks at Toldeo in 1967. After two years at Toledo, Walker went to Ohio State where he was an assistant coach under Woody Hayes from 1969 to 1976 and in charge of the dfensive backfield.

From Ohio State, Walker went on to pros with one year at New England (1977) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (1978-81) where he coached the defensive backfield. Walker won two Super Bowls (1978 and 1979( while with Pittsburgh. 

Walker joined the Montreal Concordes as the defensive backfield coach under Joe Galat in 1982. After leaving Montreal, Walke rcoached with the Chicago Blitz of the USFL and then again at the high school level in Georgia and Los Vegas.

Dick Walker passed away on January 15, 2013 rom injuries suffered in a car accident.
