Mike Abou-Mechrek

Abou-Mechrek played 10 seasons in the CFL from 1999 to 2008 with Winnipeg, Ottawa and Saskatchewan.  While Abou-Mechrek didn't win any All-Star honours during his career, he was what every CFL team values highly, a solid Canadian starter on the offensive line.  Abou-Mechrek was a fifth round draft pick of the Blue Bombers in 1999, and while he only played one game in his rookie season, Abou-Mechrek soon established himself as a regular.  Abou-Mechrek played three seasons with the Bombers, becoming a free agent after the 2001 season and signing with the Ottawa Renegades.  Abou-Mechrek spent three seasons in Ottawa before resigning with Winnipeg in 2005 for two seasons.  Abou-Mechrek then signed as a free agent with Saskatchewwan whree he played in 2007 and 2008, winning the Grey Cup with the Riders in 2007.
