Ray Ash, who played his high school football at Gordon Bell in Winnipeg was elected to the Winnipeg High School Football Hall of Fame in 2008 (inaugral class). Ash was a member of the Winnpeg Blue Bombers in 1961 when they won the Grey Cup, and that team is a member of the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame.
