Tim Bakker

Tim Bakker was born in Oakville Ontario and a product of the football program at Western Ontario.  Bakken played nine seasons in the CFL, from 2000 to 2008.  Bakker started and finished his career with Edmonton, with stops in Hamilton and BC along the way. Bakker was a first round draft pick of Edmonton in the 2000 CFL College Draft and signed with Edmonton for the 2000 season.  After three season in Edmonton (2000-02), Bakker was traded to BC for the 2003 season for a second round pick in the CFL College Draft.  Bakker became a free agent after the 2003 season and signed with Hamilton.  Bakker spent two years with the Tiger-Cats (2004-05) before being traded back to Edmonton along with quarterback Danny McManus and a first round pick in exchange for quarterback Jason Maas and a sixth round pick.  Bakker played another three years with Edmonton from 2006 to 2008. Bakker played mainly center, but also filled in at guard and tackle as required.  Bakker made it to one Grey Cup, that coming in 2002, but unfortunately for Bakker, Edmonton lost to Montreal that year.
