Eddie Bell

Eddie Bell played football at the University of Pennsylvania where he starred mainly at defensive end where he was an All-american in 1952 and 1953. Bell was drafted in the fifth round of the 1953 NFL college draft by the Philadelphia Eagles.  Bell went on to play four seasons in the NFL with the Eagles as acornerback from 1955 to 1958.  Bell played one season with Hamilton in 1959, before returning to the States to play with the New York Titans of the AFL in 1960.  In his one year with the Tiger-Cats, Bell playd in all 14 games, recording 5 interceptions and was named to the East All-Star team at linebacker (there were no CFL All-Stars until 1962).

Eddie Bell passed away on November 16, 2009.
