Clyde Bennett

Bennet played his college ball at the University of Southern Carolina from 1951-1953.  NIcknamed "Mule", Bennett played both offensive and defensive end, earning All Atlantic Coast All-Star honours in 1953 as the leading pass receiver.  Bennett also appeared in the Blue-Grey All-Star game in 1953.  Bennett played one season for the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1954 before going on to a career with the US Air Force.  The retired USAF Colonel was elected to the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003.
