John Carlos

John Carlsos was a world class sprinter from San Jose State who won a bronze medal at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City.  After college, Carlos tried out with the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL before coming to the CFL and playing one season with Montreal in 1971. The Alouettes had won the Grey Cup in 1970, but the wheels fell off in 1971 for Montreal as they went from champs to missing the playoffs.  Players were complaining and critical of managment. Fingers were pointed at Carlso as part of the problem and whether becasue of that or an inury, Carlos's football career ended after that one season.
