Al Cowlings

Al Cowlings is probably best remembered as being a friend of O.J. Simpson and the driver of the white Bronco in the slowest and most covered car chase in the history of man. Cowlings played highschool football, college ball at USC and pro football together in Buffalo.  Cowlings did have a long NFL career, playing with Buffalo, Houston, Los Angelas Rams and Seattle from 1970 to 1977.  Cowlings joined the Montreal Alouettes for four games as a defensive lineman in 1978, and scored a touchdown on a fumble return.  Cowlings returned to the NFL in 1979 to play one more season with San Francisco. Cowlings was selected to the USC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.
