Estell bounced around in the NFL with Kanss City and Indianapolis in 1986 and 1987 before signing with Hamilton in March of 1988. Estell had a pretty good season with Hamilton in his third season in the CFL in 1990 with 60 catches and just shy of the magical 1000 yards. Despite that, he was released in February of 1991 and was later drafted by the Montreal Machine of the WLAF.
