Fawcett played one game for Saskatchewan in 1982, but did not play in 1983 and 84. He was traded to Ottawa in June of 1985 for a fourth round draft pick in the 1985 CFL college draft. Fawcett remanined with Ottawa thourgh the end of 1989 before being rleased. After not playing in 1990, he was signed by Calgary in January of 1991, but released before playing any games for them.
