Karim Grant was a second round draft pick of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the 2001 CFL college draft and joined them in 2002. After two seasons with the Tiger-Cats, and then signed as a free agent with Toronto for the start of the 2004 season. Grant was released by the Argos without playing a game for them, and later in the season signed with Montreal in October.
