Billy Gray

Billy Gray was a speedy running back out of Maryland State. Gray joined the Saskatchewan Rough Riders in 1961 and played five seasonsfor the Green and White or at the time Red and White as the Saskatchean colours wree (see photo!). Gray's best season came in 1962 with 673 yards rusing and 30 catches for another 419 yards. Gray was also used on kickoff returns by the Riders.

After leavng the Riders, Billy Gray spent three seasons in the Continental Football League. Gray played for the Orlando Panthers in 1966 and 1967 and the Norfolk Neptunes in 1968. Gray was selected for the the Maryland State Hall of Fame in 1982.
