Rod Hill

Rod Hill was a first round draft pick of the Dallas Cowboys in the 1982 NFL college draft. Hill went on to have stints with the Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions and the Los Angelas Raiders, before being released by LA in August 1987.  Winnipeg signed Hill in May of 1988 and he played five seasons for hte Bombers.  It was a short, but highly successfull CFL career as Hill recorded 47 interceptions in those five years, returning two for touchdowns.  Hil also had five fumble recoveries, taking one of  those back for six points.  Hill also specialized in blocking kicks, with 8 blocked punts in his five years.  Hill was an East and CFL All-Star in both 1989 and 1990, years in which he had 12 interceptions.  Hill picked up his third East All-Star in his final season in 1992.
