James Hood

Signed by Winnipeg in May of 1985. Sent to Montreal in June of 1986 along with defensive back David Daniels. He had a "break out" season with Montreal, making 95 catches for over 1400 yards receiving. For his performance, Hood was named to the All-Canadian team in 1987 and was the Eastern nomineed for the most outstanding player in the CFL. Unfortunately, Montreal folded just prior to the start of the 1987 season and Hood was drfted in the first round of the dispersal draft in June of 1987 by Ottawa where he put up good numbers, though no where near his 86 figures. Hood was released by Ottawa in September of 1987 and then signed by Saskatchewan in August of 1988. The Riders released Hood in October of the same year. Hood was signed by his fifth team in five years when Edmonton inked him to a contract in April of 1989, but he was released before playing any games for them.
