Jean Paul (Lally) Lalonde

Lally Lalonde was born on November 13, 1926 in Ottawa.  Lally Lalonde was a multi-sport star, participating in boxing, hockey, lacrosse and of course football.  As a hockey player, Lalonde won a World Championship with the Sudbury Wolves in 1949.  In footballl, Lalonde played two seasons (1946-47) with the Ottawa Trojans of the ORFU, then moved onto the Ottawa Rough Riders for three seasons from 1948 to 1950.  After not playing in 1951, Lalonde played one more season with the Montreal Alouettes in 1952. Lalonde is a member of the Ottawa Sports Hall of Hame.  Lally Lalonde passed away on June 17, 2012.
