Brett MacNeil

Brett MacNeil played 11 years in th CFL, mostly for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.  MacNeil was drafted in the first round of the 1991 CFL college draft by Ottawa (seventh overall).  After one season with Ottawa where he didn't get into a game, MacNeil was traded to Winnipeg for defensive back Michael Allen in June of 1992.  After six seasons with the Bombers, MacNeil was traded to Edmonton in May of 1998 along with future considerations for wide receiver Larry Thompson.  MacNeil missed theentire 1998 season due to injuries, and was reclaimed by Winnipeg on waivers in June, 19990  MacNeil played another four seasons for them (1999-2002) before being released by in February, 2002.  MacNeil won both East and CFL All-Star honours in his second last year in in 2001 with Winnipeg.
