Mike Sutherland

Mike Sutherland was a first round draft pick of the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 1996 CFL college draft.  Sutherland played only one game for the Riders before being plucked off their practice roster by Montreal in August of 1996.  Sutherland played 12 games for Montreal in 1996 and dressed for all 18 games in the next three seasons (1997-1999).  Sutherland played only 5 games for Monreal in 2000, and was released on July 3, 2001.  Sutherland signed a week later as a free-agent with Winnipeg and spent two seasons with the Bombers (2001-02).  Sutherland signed as a free agent with Ottawa before the 2003 season and spent three seasons with the expansion Renegades.  Sutherland recorded his only career touchdown on a fumble recover in his final season in 2005.
