Ulyses (Junior) Thurman

Thurmon was a two time West division All-Star at defensive back (1991 and 1992), who was all All-Canadian in 1991. Thurmon started his pro career as a free agent signing by the New Orleans Saints of the NFL in 1987. Thurmon later attended the Phoenix Cardinals training camp in 1988 before being released prior to the start of the regular season. Thurmon played six years for Calgary from 1989 to 1994, before becoming a free agent and finishing his career with the expansion Birmingham Barracudas in 1995. After the folding of the American teams, Thurmon became a free agent again, but remained unsigned.
