Jon Volpe

Volpe burst into the CFL with the BC Lions in 1991 when he ran for 1335 yards and caught 53 passes for another 459 yards.  Thoe numbers earned Volpe both Wesern and All-Canadian All-Star status, as well as the Outstanding Rookie in the CFL.  In 1992, in his second season, Volpe just missed making the thousand yard club again as missed four games and finished with 941 yards rushing to capture his second West All-Star honour.  Things went downhill for Volpe after than, however, as he played in only 5 games in 1993 for BC in 1993 before being released in November, 1993.  The expansion Los Vegas Posse signed Volpe in August of 1994 and he played four games for the Posse.  Volpe finished with 2654 yards rushing.
