J.C. Watts
Watts signed with Ottawa as a free agent for the 1981 season. Watts showed promise in the 9 games he played, competing 54.2% of his passes to go with his excellent mobility as he ran for 260 yards with 7.0 yard average. Watts sat out the 1982 season and then rejoined Ottawa for 1983. He threw for over 3000 yards in 1983 and 1984, and just missed that plateau with 2975 yards in 1985. Ottawa released Watts partway through the 1986 season and he signed with Toronto on August to complete the season.
