CFL All-Stars 1939

  Previous Index Next

In 1939, most players went both ways, so there was no separate offennsive and defensive All-Star teams.  In the East, there was a Big Four (IRFU) All-Star team and an All East All-Star team that included the Big Four, ORFU and the university teams. The West had its own All-Star team and there were no All-Canadian selections at that time.  Macleans magazine also had its own All-Star selections for the East and West that also included  university players.  Notice for example that Joe Krol won a Macleans All-Star at halfback while with the University of Western Ontario..
