Ron Lancaster Jr.

Ron D. Lancaster Jr. is the son of Hall of Fame quarterback Ron Lancaster. Ron Jr. served as an assistant coach on four CFL teams: Hamilton, Winnipeg, Toronto and Edmonton. Lancaster started his coaching career with  the Toronto Argonauts for two season in 1991-92. Lancaster's next CFL assignment was with Edmonton (1996-97), followed by four seasons with Hamilton (1998-2001). Lancaster won a Grey Cup with Hamilton in 1999 under the head coaching of his father. Lancaster then coached one year with Winnipeg (2004) and a second stint with Edmonton for two season in 2005 and 2006. Lancaster also was the head coach of the University of Manitoba in the 1990s.

Besides the 1999 Grey Cup victory with his dad, Ron Lancaster Jr. was also an assistant coach on cup winning teams in 1991 with Toronto and 2005 with Edmonton. Lancaster made two other t rips to the Grey Cup as an assistant, losing in 1996 with Edmonton and 1998 with Hamilton.

Ron Lancaster Jr. passed away on March 26, 2013 at he age of 50 at his home in Hamilton.
