History
The Lethbridge Bulldogs played in the Alberta Rugby Football Union (ARFU) during the 1934 & 1936 seasons. Lethbridge was one of two franchises awarded by the ARFU in the fall of 1933; the other was a second Calgary team. The teams were conditional upon recruiting a roster of 18 or more players by September 1934. The new Calgary team had an additional condition; they were not allowed to recruit players from the Calgary Altomahs. Lethbridge was the only team that commenced play in the fall of 1934.
